Palumbo Launches Superyacht Prima
Palumbo Group announces the technical launch of the beautiful Prima, a 54m superyacht, at Palumbo Shipyard in Naples. The complete delivery to the owner will take place in July. Prima was built for a shipping company, owner of the Columbus Yacht brand. At the moment, another 55m yacht is under construction and other models ranging from 38 to 75 m, with steel hulls are being designed.
The technical launch of Prima was attended by local a, shipyard workers, national and international brokers and specialist press. The event represents an important goal for Palumbo, that last year acquired two shipyards in Malta, one of them fully dedicated to superyachts refitting. Palumbo Group is very proud to have achieved this goal and to have built its first yacht entirely built by a local workforce at high quality standards and with advanced technology. The shipyard would like to thank all those who have participated and have made this unique project possible.
Design
The Prima was designed by Sergio Cutolo (Hydrotech Naval Architecture) and the interior design by Tommaso Spadolini (Spadolini Studio Design), international well known names in the field of luxury superyachts. The idea of Columbus Yacht was to create a yacht with a classic look with retained precise proportions without excessive élans, accompanied by some elements that help give her a distinctive appeal, such as the curved upper deck windows. Prima was built in compliance with the rules of ABS and she is suitable for unrestricted navigation, following class notation Maltese Cross A1, Yachting Service, UMS. She also complies with RINA Green Plus.
